Kenneth Vert, 65, of Fisk, Mo. passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Saint Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Vert was born December 27, 1949 in Poplar Bluff. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the John J. Pershing VA Hospital. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On January 8, 1972 he married Linda (Baldridge) Vert in Broseley, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Hazel (Kirkley) Vert; one daughter, Stacy Vaughn and son, Kenny Vert; two sisters, Dorothy Foster and Mary Miller; one brother, Charles Vert; two grandchildren, Cody and Shane Vaughn.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Vert and brothers, John Vert, James Vert and twins, Floyd and Loyd Vert and one sister, Annabel Dwynell.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Arvin Haynes will officiate. Burial will be held in the Kinsey Cemetery with full military rites.
