Ron Fowler, Funeral Director and Preneed agent. Ron was born in Poplar Bluff and has spent all his life in Butler and Ripley Counties.
Ron started working part time in a local funeral home in 1989. Then full time in 1991. In 1992 he went before the Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors and successfully completed and passed the funeral directors exam at Lake of the Ozarks. In 2000 he joined the family firm and is very active as a funeral director and Preneed agent for Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home and Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. He is a member of the Missouri Funeral Directors Association. He is General Manager of Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home at the Poplar Bluff location.
In 1977 he received a certification and FCC license in broadcasting from the Federal Communications Commission in Kansas City, Missouri, for radio stations operations. He’s been very active in Christian radio in Poplar Bluff for several years, and has emceed many local benefit concerts in the Poplar Bluff area. In 2002 Ron received his ministerial license from the Christian Church United in Cleveland TN.
Ron likes to attend high school and college football and basketball games, spending time with his wife Joyce, his son, Todd, daughter in law, Tara, and his grandchildren. He also enjoys playing golf. Ron attends the Palace Of Praise in Poplar Bluff.
