Richard Lee Smith

Richard Lee Smith, 60, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at his home. Mr. Smith was born August 6, 1955, to the late Louis Dale Smith and Georgia West-Smith. He had served in the United States Air Force. He was a construction worker and had a great love for animals and being outdoors. Survivors include his daughter, Lyndse Lee Smith; two brothers, Louis D. Smith and Charles Smith, as well as 3 grandchildren, Skylen, Aryanna, and Sierra, and long time friend, Verna Meador. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Scott Lee Smith. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday February 5, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with dear friend, Austin Montague officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
