Ada Bell Songer, 79 of Neelyville, Missouri, Passed away in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was born January 17, 1933 at Neelylville, Missouri to the late John Green Whitt and Violet Hargate Whitt. She is survived by one son, Vernon Songer of McDougal, Arkansas and two sisters, Betty Becker of Black Jack, Missouri,and Ruby Whitt of Neelyville, Missouri, Four brothers, Clarence Whitt of Bunker Hill, Illinois, Jerry Whitt of Neelyville, Mo., Rick Whitt of Neelyville, Mo. Lonnie Whitt of Walshville, Illinois. four Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in two sisters, Stella Hogan and Mary Lee Roberts and one brother, John Whitt. Ada had attended the Church on The Rock at St. Peters where she helped organized the church.She enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, and puzzles. Services for Ada will be a 2:00 p.m. graveside service September 26, 2012 at the Coon island Cemetery. Rev Ernest Bennett Jr will officiate. Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Charge of arrangments.
