Albert Thomas Griffin Jr

Albert Thomas Griffin Jr., age 79 of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Life Care Center of St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Griffin was born March 23, 1933 at Morehouse, Mo. the late Albert T. Griffin Sr. and Jimmie (Smith) Griffin. He lived most of his life in Poplar Bluff and was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist in Poplar Bluff. He was a retired construction worker. He loved to mechanic, cook outs and being with his family. On November 1993 he was married to Brenda Moss in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death in May 2005. Mr. Griffin leaves behind his children, Neva Moss of Alton, Ill., and Tanji Jones of Poplar Bluff; one sister Alcie Jackson of Clarksville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Alexis Moss, Shamirah Higgs, and Tamirah Higgs all of Alton, Ill. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Friday August 24, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. with funeral services at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Rev Johnny Williams will officiate. Burial in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
