Albert "Buck" Andrews was born July 4, 1940 and passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the age of 76, peacefully in his home. He was a resident of Poplar Bluff for most of his life.
Mr. Andrews married Reva C. Sprague in the late winter of 958, she survives along with their three children: Albert (Marla) Andrews, Deborah (Gary) Williams and James (Sue) Andrews. Also surviving are his siblings: Donald Andrews, Sharon Marchbanks, and Karen Stout. He had a special love for his family. He was an incredible Papa to his seven grandchildren: Michael Andrews, Christopher Andrews, Justin Andrews, Carissa Nagell, Gary Lynn Williams, Heather Andrews and Danny Andrews. He shared a special bond with his oldest grandson Michael Andrews who so lovingly refers to him as his best friend. Papa Buck loved his twelve great-grandchildren and I don't think he could have been more proud of them.
Mr. Andrews served his country with great pride. He was involved in the Cuban Crisis, and remained a proud Veteran up to the day of his passing.
He was the sweetest, cranky old man you could have ever known, with an infectious laugh. He enjoyed spending time chatting about the news, politics, and loved hearing any funny story or joke you had to tell him. He was loved greatly and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will begin at 1pm Tuesday, June 13 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with the Rev. Gary Williams and Shane Nagell officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites in Old Oak Hill Cemetery.
