Alexander Christian Metzing, 18, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday August 14, 2011 in Butler County. Visitation will be 6PM Wednesday August 17 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff. Funeral will be 10AM Thursday at Pilgrims Rest Church on Hwy 160 In Fairdealing. Rev. Ron Payne and Rev.Warner Allen officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Alexander Christian Metzing was born December 26, 1992 to William and Mary Metzing, in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, camping, playing pool and joking around. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Church at Fairdealing. He is survived by his parents; William and Mary "Baldwin" Metzing, of Fairdealing; his fiance; Josie Johnson of Fairdealing; grandparents; Richie and Brenda Peavy of Poplar Bluff, Sue Metzing, of Poplar Bluff; and Dan and Ann Baldwin of Wrangell Alaska. Sisters; Catrina Marie Metzing and Michelle Rose Metzing both of Fairdealing; brothers; William Martin Metzing, and Jonny Sparks both of Poplar Bluff. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Martin Michael "Marty" Metzing June 12, 2011.
