A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Kingdom Hall of Jahovah's Witnesses on Highway NN with Jearl Griffin officiating.
Alva Louise Riley of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at home . She was 76. Mrs. RIley was born August 1, 1934, at Harviell, Mo. and was a lifetime Butler County resident. She was a homemaker and member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.
She married Richard Leonard Riley on September 27, 1958. He prededed her in death on December 22, 1993.
Survivors include; one son, Ricky Leon Riley and wife, Linda Ruth, of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Russell and husband, Harlan and Debra Kay Riley, both of Poplar Bluff, three sisters, Viola Cassey of Salem, Mo., Maxine Stansberry of Arizona and Ruth Sollars of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Don Sollars of Spain and Gerald Sollars of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin "Pop" and Elsie "Brown" Sollars, one daughter, Pamela Robinson, one sister, Joyce Walker and one brother Bill Sollars.
