Alvie Leo Johnson, 88, of Harviell, Missouri died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Colonial Home in Doniphan, Missouri. He was born January 15, 1928 in Fagus, Missouri to the late Talmadge Johnson and Gertha Hollowell Johnson.
He had served as a seaman first class in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Naylor Christian Church and had worked installing tires at Sears. He enjoyed fishing and his grandchildren, farm work and crossword puzzles and mechanic work.
He was married to Jane Arlue Branch. She survives.
Also surviving are, One son, Randy Johnson and wife Mona of Harviell, Missouri, one daughter, Sherry Silkwood of Harviell; two brothers, Buel Johnson of Broseley, Missouri , and Dwight Johnson of St.Louis, Missouri. Three Sisters, Donnavee Reed of Doniphan, Brenda Ballard of Pontiac, Michigan and Judy Dare of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren,; six great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded I death by his parents, Talmadge Johnson and Gertha Hollowell Johsnon; a son-in-law, Doyle Silkwood and two brother, Ralph Johnson and Buren Johnson;
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday a Fowler-Sullivan Memorial chapel in Neelyville, Missouri followed y the funeral at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Steve McFadden officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the Ash Hill Cemetery at Fisk, Missouri.
