Angela Marie Metz-Brooks, age 34, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away February 22, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Brooks was born August 1, 1978 in Poplar Bluff. She had previously lived in California, but had been a resident of Butler County for the past 20 years.
She was a homemaker and loved being a mother and enjoyed the computer and reading. She was of the Baptist faith.
On November 22, 2004, she married Charles Dewayne Brooks Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are her parents, Dean and Helen Anderson of California; her children, Josef Colin Bailey and Carley Delaine Brooks; her siblings, Jonia and husband, Jason Morgan; Brandon Metz, Zachary Anderson and Daniel and wife, Mindy Anderson, Wenonnah and husband, Mark Goings, Michael and wife, Dana Brooks, Nicole and Sharla Arnold; grandmother, Carlene Gilbert; aunts, Arlene Mills and Carol Wilson; her mother and father-in-law, Donna and Jesse Short all of Poplar Bluff; 14 nieces and nephews and several cousins, as well as life-long friend, Jessica.
She is preceded in death by her son, Harley D. Brooks; grandmother, Angie Nichols and father-in-law, Charles D. Brooks Sr.
Visitation for Mrs. Brooks will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, followed by graveside services at 12:30 p.m. in the Ash Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Steven Winberry officiating.
