Argie Davis

Argie Mae Davis, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Mrs. Davis was born April 26, 1928 in Caruthersville, Mo. to the late Lonnie and Clara (Drake) Tanner. On February 18, 1961 she married Gerald Lester Davis. They were married over 50 years. He survives. Argie enjoyed the Dollar Store and liked fish dinners. They say she really didn't like animals, but every now and then she would feed the neighbors cats and dogs and she dearly loved her family. Also surviving are her daughters, Kathy and husband, Mark Ramsey and Patty and husband, Paul Meador; 2 brothers, Lloyd Tanner and Robert Tanner; grandchildren, Lacee, Kyle, Mariah, Miranda, and Marissa; one great-grandchild, Grayson. One brother, Junior Tanner also preceded her in death. Visitation for Mrs. Davis will begin at 12 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, with Ron Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Heart Association.
