Arthur Nelson Silman, 72, of Doniphan, Mo., formerly of Marston, Grandin, and Fenton, Mo., died Sat. April 18, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Silman was born, July 5, 1942 in Tallapoosa, Mo. He worked with timber as a logger/skidder operator. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working on automobiles, and his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children; Lisa Weis, of Irondale, Mo., Melissa Tyler, Elisha Silman, LaShawna Phillips, Amber McDonnald, Shane Brandon, and Shannon Brandon, all of Ellsinore, Mo., Arthur Silman Jr., Richard Silman, both of Bonne Terre, Mo., James Brandon of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Michael Brandon of Peculiar, Mo., his sisters Ann Silman of Doniphan, Mo., Billy Julius of Grandin, Mo.; her brothers, Gary Silman of Naylor, Mo., Tony Silman of Aurora, IL., and Scott Silman of Doniphan, Mo.; 29 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as an adopted sister of the heart, Crystal Harvey; and his next best friend, Betty Whitlow.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Ben Silman and Pauline Beegle Silman; his sister, Connie Silman; and brother, Cleatus Silman
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Reynolds. Burial will take place at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
