Arthur Leroy Ward Sr

Arthur Leroy Ward Sr., age 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home. Mr. Ward was born September 24, 1937, to the late Roy and Valerie Ward, and had lived most of his life in Butler County. He served in the United States Air Force and had worked as a truck driver. He was a member of Twin Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and working on lawn mowers. He was married to Barbara Ward, who survives. Other survivors include one son, Arthur Ward Jr.; and two granddaughters, Jessica Ward and Kara Doggett. One brother, Ralph Paul Ward, also precede him in death. A memorial visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. followed by funeral service at 12 p.m. in the chapel.
