Audrey P. Walker, 89, of Fenton, Mo., previously of Harviell, Mo., passed away on Jan. 30, 2017 at the St. Clair Hospital in Fenton.
Mrs. Walker was born on July 24, 1927 in Harviell, Mo. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, reading, church, spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of The Fellowship Southern Baptist Church where she had served as Sunday school teacher as well as working in the kitchen and other activities in the church. Audrey was also the president of the WMU.
On March 11, 1946 she married Luther Walker in Poplar Bluff, Mo. he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001.
Audrey is survived by her children, Sherman Kearby (Shirley) of Columbas, TX., Terry Walker (Judy) of Waynesville, Mo., Shirlene Noel (Harry) of Fenton, Mo., Vicki Walker (Mike) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; sisters, Shirley "Midge" Rhodes of N.C., Mary Lou Shirley of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; as well as 25 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Janetta Kay Birdsong; one son, Tommie Walker; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Walker; son-in-law, Bill Birdsong; parents, Sheridan Hines and Maude Kinsey Hines Craig; 1 sister, Naomi Hillis; as well as 4 brothers, Tommy, Ernest, Sherman and Sheridan "Jack" Hines.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 10:30 - 12:30 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Ralph Mays officiating. Burial will take place in Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell, Mo.
