Authur Gunells

Arthur Lee Gunells, 66, a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff., passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at his residence with his close friend and army buddy Bill Gentry at his side. Mr. Gunells was born October 27, 1947, in Poplar Bluff. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed going to the American Legion and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play. Survivors are his children, Regina Barker and husband, Boomer and Michael Gunells and wife, Angela, and a grandchild, Alicia Barker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alberta Gunells and a sister, Debra Gunells. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens with military honors.
