Barbara Lou Shipman, 82, of Fairdealing, Missouri passed away January 28, 2014 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was born April 24, 1931 at Idialia, Missouri to the late James Wilson Trotter and Nora Ethel (Tennyson) Trotter.
On November 1, 1931 She was married to Hershel Shipman. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2002.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her children; Carl (Marlene) Shipman of Hoopeston, Illinois, Deborah (Gary) Emmons of Fairdealing, Missouri, Bobby (Martha) Shipman of Naylor, Missouri, Ricky (Shawnda) Shipman of Fairdealing, Missouri and Lora (Dennis) Fischer of Billings, Missouri. Daughter-in-law Hazel Shipman of Willowbrook, Illinois. She is also survivied by one sister, Lucille Henson as well as 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several great-great granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one son, James Shipman and one grandson, Jackson Shipman, Three sisters, Eva Wheeler,Delphia Duckworth, and Dorothy Rogers and one brother, Dick Trotter.
Visitation for Barbara will begin at 6 pm Thursday January 30, 2014 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo. with the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday January 31, 2014 in Neelyville. burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Fairdealing, Missouri with Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating
