Benita Bernice Wilson, 61 of Butler county passed away May 26, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be 6-8PM Thurs May 31 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will begin at 10AM Friday, June 1, 2012 at Black Creek Cemetery with Rev. Charles Kelley officiating.
Ms. Wilson was born May 2, 1951 in Poplar Bluff. She was a lifetime resident of Butler County. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church. She was a CNA and had worked for Butler County In Home Healthcare. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, music and loved life.
She is survived by her longtime companion Freddy Eugene Moore Sr.; her 5 children; Robert Leon Wilson of Poplar Bluff, Lisa Bernice Wilson of Poplar Bluff, Angelia Lynn Peoples of Poplar Bluff, Brandy Kay Moore of Poplar Bluff and Penny Eltannir of Poplar Bluff. Her mother, Lottie Bernice Tanksley of Poplar Bluff; 2 sisters; Edith Tanksley Bohannon of Poplar Bluff, Brenda Joyce Granger and husband Ernest "Buzzy" of Florida, a brother, Benjamin Richard Tanksley Jr. "Sonny" and wife Angela of Poplar Bluff; 24 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her father; Benjamin Tanksley, sons, Jeffrey Eugene Moore, and Freddie Eugene Moore Jr.
