Bennie Griffin

Bennie L. Griffin, 76, of Doniphan, Mo., died Sunday, June 28 at John J. Pershing in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mr. Griffin was born April 30, 1939 in Doniphan, Mo. He was a retired police officer and Ripley Co. foreman. He enjoyed hunting, boating on Current River, and riding 4-wheelers. He was a member of the Ponder Church of Christ. Mr.. Griffin was in the U.S. army and served 13 months in Korea. On April 3, 1962 Bennie married Linda G. Cress in Doniphan, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Cameron (Melissa), Greg (Stacey), Brad, Jeff (Tina), (Shane) Lesa Burnett; his sister, Linda Steele; his brothers, Carter, Waif, and Johnny Griffin; his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Nathan, Alyson, Cassie, Preston, Tyler, Miranda, and Micaela, Sierra, and Breana. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ezra and Florence (Duncan) Griffin. Private services for family only will be held.
