Betty E. Hill

Betty E. Hill, age 94, entered into her heavenly home Dec. 26, 2019.

She was born Nov. 16, 1925 to James Franklin and Emma Elizabeth Hughes in Jonesboro, Ark.where she attended Casey Springs Elementary School and Valley View High School.

After graduating from LaVera Beauty College she was united in marriage to Detroy Hill Oct. 12, 1946 at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Ark.  Two sons were born into this union, Richard L. and Gregory L. and one daughter,k Denise Ann McKuin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Detroy; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.

Betty had been an active member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff since 1965 and had been a member of Order of Eastern Star since March 6, 1956.  She was a real estate broker and held her license until June 2010.

Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at 1 pm in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Pastor Brandon Spain officiated.
