Billie Jean Phipps Venable

Billie Jean Phipps (Venable) , 86 of Poplar Bluff departed this life on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born on May 27, 1932 in Essex Mo. to the late Elmer and Lydia Burns. She was of the Baptist Faith, was a homemaker, loved traveling, reading, gardening, she loved it when family and friends would come to her home for visits and meals. She is survived by her children, Linda Rae Pipkins, Jimmy Darrell Phipps. Her grandchildren Scott Tolliver and wife Tammy,Angie DeShaney and husband Roy, Kim Treaster, Jeremiah Reese, Andrea Cromer. Twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, one sister Patricia Forsythe. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved Floyd Venable, by her brothers, Leon,Jim, Louie, John, Floyd Burns. by three sisters, Imogene McDaniel, Mary Bell Wilson, Lucille Sheppard. Visitation will be on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 10 am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating burial will follow in the City Cemetery.
