Billy Gene Reel, age 53, of Fisk, Missouri died Friday, August 24, 2012, in Farmington, Missouri.
Mr. Reel was born September 13, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was a former resident of Dupo, Ill., and graduated from Dupo Community High School in 1976. Mr. Reel moved back to Butler County in 1976 and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had worked on the railroad for Union Pacific. Mr. Reel enjoyed football, baseball and fishing and loved his children. Mr. Reel was a carefree spirit who made all people laugh, enjoyed sports and was an avid Cardinals fan.
He was married to Julie (Stevens) Reel. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, Harold and Barbara Tinsley of Fisk; five children, Amy Reel Buechel of Denver, Co., Nicole Vetter and husband, Brett, of Belleville, Ill, Ashley Bloomer and husband, Jerrod, of Cuba, Mo., Amanda Parker of Rolla, Mo., and Dakota Reel of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sisters, Sue Tinsleyand husband, James of Ganado, Texas, and Karla Parker and husband, Robbie, of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Paige, Cainen, Abram, Caleb, Malachi, Lilly Ann and Odin; and 10 nieces and nephews, Joey and Blake Tinsley, Jarrett, Jen and Gage Griffin, Mary Beth Griffin, Billy Griffin, Alesha and Lacy Gipson and Harold Parker.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday August 28, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday August 29, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bob Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Ham Town Cemetery.
