Bobby Joe Mangrum Sr. of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday July 15, 2012 at his home at the age of 53. Mr. Mangrum was born July 17, 1958 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. and was a lifetime resident. He was a member of Grace Ministries in Poplar Bluff and American Legion Post 630. He worked for Sandy's Cab Co. in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Mangrum enjoyed fishing, playing pool and horseshoes and he loved the outdoors.
On July 19, 2008 he married Ellen (Fox) Mangrum. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Bobby Joe Mangrum Jr. of Greenville, Mo.; sisters, Kay Moody, Debra Mangrum, Sharon Foster and husband, Jerry, Sue Gann and husband, Byron, all of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Jimmy Bridges of Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Mangrum is preceded in death by his parents, James Mangrum and Arleva (Smith) Mangrum.
Visitation for Mr. Mangrum will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by funeral services at 3 p.m., with Rev. Sandy Mick officiating. Memorials can be made to Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home.
