Brandy Diane O'Connor

Brandy Diane O'Connor, 44, of Cape Girardeau, MO passed away on August 28, 2025, at Mercy-Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Brandy was born on September 24, 1980, to Curtis Scott Gordon Sr and Karen (Ray) King in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Brandy enjoyed spending lots of time with her granddaughter Bella Stepp, who she so dearly loved so much, and taking care of her in home health care clients.  

Brandy always had something to smile about and kept going no matter how hard things were.  Brandy was big on talking to God and making sure He was with her always. 

Brandy is survived by son, Marco Buchanan, granddaughter, Bella Stepp, sister, Amy Gordon, aunt, Margaret McDonald, mother, Karen King, brother, Scott Gordon, sister, Julia Hillis, cousin, Andrea Gillum, daughter Destinee Wells, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Brandy was preceded in death by her daughter Katelyn Gordon, cousin, Mason Sneed, Aunt Theresa and Uncle Lewis Ray.

Services will be held at a later date.
