Buddy Davis

Ola "Buddy" Burnell Davis, age 63, of Doniphan, Mo., passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his home. Mr. Davis was born June 26, 1950 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. to Carl and Virginia Davis. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the city of Poplar Bluff Power Plant Maintanence. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and loved being outdoors. He was of the Christian belief. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Davis; his children, Tabitha Davis, Sabrina, McElhaney, Kristy Kipper; step-children, Jamie Morgan and Jackie Underwood; his mother, Virginia Davis; two brothers, Cecil Davis and Timothy Davis, as well as 12 grandchildren. His father, Carl Davis preceded him in death. Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 in the chapel with Ray VanDover officiating. Burial in the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with military honors.
