Butch Rushin

Butch Rushin, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rushin was born March 21, 1945 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship. For 30 years he operated Rushin Towing and was also a retired insurance adjuster. He enjoyed race cars, fishing, hunting and watching his grandkids play ball. On November 1, 1964 he married Mary (Watson) Rushin in Poplar Bluff, she survives. Also surviving are children, Chris Rushin and wife, Denise, Bud Rushin and wife, Teresa and Jana Hosler and husband, Ken; one sister, Barbara Mills; one brother, Steve Rushin and six grandchildren, Ella, Emma, Robert, Ross, Colton, and Caleb. Mr. Rushin was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Rushin and Wanda (Chappell) Rushin and a brother, Donnie Rushin. Visitation will begin at 10am Monday, April 18, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at 11am, with Rev. Brian Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery.
