Calvin Stroup

Calvin Ray Stroup, 68, of Puxico, Mo., died Monday April 13, 2015 at his home. Mr. Stroup was born Nov. 21, 1946 in Puxico, Mo. He has been a lifelong member of the area and worked in construction as a home builder. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, the outdoors, and his grandchildren. He attended First Apostolic Church in Sturtevant, Mo. He is survived by his children, Kevin & wife Krystal of Marble Hill, Mo., Kenny Stroup & wife Julia, and Keith Stroup & wife Cristi, all of Bloomfield, Mo., Jason Stroup and Mechelle Stroup both of Puxico, Mo.; his brothers, James Lee Stroup of Laplace La., William Auther Stroup of Dexter, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, Calvin Stroup and Rebecca Canoy Stroup; his brother, Jerry Wayne Stroup; and one grandchild. Funeral arrangements will take place Wednesday, April 15, 2015 with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and funeral at 1:00 p.m. The services will take place at the First Apostolic Church in Sturtevant, Mo., with Rev. Donnie Fowler and Pastor Dale Holman Officiating.
