Rev. Carl Romine, 76, of Ellington, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, March 27,2018 at his residence.
He was born July 3, 1941 in Poplar Bluff. He was the owner of Romine Sales and former pastor of Star Community Church in Fisk. He attended the Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff.
He enjoyed working, hunting, playing music, spending time with friends and family, but most of all he enjoyed preaching and pastoring.
On October 28,1989 he married Ila Mae Romine. She survives. Also surviving is his son, Frankie Romine and wife Tilsa; step daughters, Judy Santhuff and husband Eddie, Cathy Gibson and husband Newman, Angie Sutton; step sons, Kenneth Halbrook, Dwayne Halbrook and wife Darla, Randy Buxton and wife Stevie and Rick Buxton and wife Ranae; brother, Leroy Romine and wife June; grandchildren, Kevin Romine, Katie Jane Tipton, Ashley White, Lauren White, Brook-Lyn Romine and Joseph Romine; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loraine Romine, one brother Alan Romine and step sons, Richard Halbrook and Larry Buxton.
Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm Friday, March 30 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with the Rev. Danny Minehart officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
