Carlene Kearbey

Carlene Faye Kearbey passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Westwood Hills Healthcare, at the age of 83. Mrs. Kearby was born February 14, 1928, at Fisk, Missouri, to the late Frank and Pearl (Pettypool) Wright. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, going to church and being with her family. She attended Lone Hill Baptist Church. On August 31, 1945, she was married to Robert Asa Kearbey, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2005. She is survived by daughters, Linda Brewer and husband, Posey of Poplar Bluff, and Sandra Pflum and husband, Larry, of Shelbyville, Mo.; grandchildren, Terri Rayner, Christy Whaley, Ginger Hunter, Colin Wescott, Anthony Gipson, and Tammy Gipson. Eleven great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren also survive. Visitation for Mrs. Kearbey will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the chapel, with Rev. Jimmy Gilbert officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
