Carney Johnson

Carney Johnson, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the Westwood Hills Heathcare. Mr. Johnson was born March 27, 1932, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Marshall and Sarah (Spencer) Johnson. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and cooking. Survivors include his children, Portia Johnson, Marshall Johnson and Aaron Johnson; one sister, Lela McDonald and one brother, Frankie Johnson, as well as three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death are three sisters, Cordelia Johnson, Clara Johnson and Evelyn Johnson and one brother, Cecil Johnson. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
