Caroline Rosalie Walker

On Wednesday evening, August 28th a beautiful baby girl, Caroline Rosalie Walker, entered this world asleep having been carried on the wings of angels into the loving arms of Christ.  With beauty beyond compare, she weighed 5 lb. 3 oz., was 18 inches long, and had lovely brown hair.  Her departure has taken a piece of our hearts, and we will always long for her embrace.  Baby Caroline Rosalie is the precious daughter of Christopher Walker and Kelsey Vance of Poplar Bluff, MO.  She will be greatly missed by her big brothers and sisters:  Jude, Autumn, Averie, Logan, and Clark.  Sweet Caroline will forever be loved by her paternal grandparents Roger and Cindy McElhaney of Poplar Bluff, her maternal grandmother, Sherry Vance of Poplar Bluff, and her maternal grandfather, Kelly Vance of Piedmont, MO.  Her aunts and uncles are Kacey and Mike Hendrickson of Poplar Bluff, Lindsey Vance of Poplar Bluff, and Stephanie and Matthew Thurner, of Fairdealing, MO.  Caroline has a host of cousins, family, and friends who will love her forever.  Upon her arrival in Heaven Caroline was greeted by her paternal grandfather, Aaron Dean Walker.

Caroline’s name means “a sweet song”.  Although her song was short the beauty of her melody will forever be in our ears and the words forever on our lips.  “Where it began, I can’t begin to know when.  But then I know it’s growin’ strong, was in the spring and spring became the summer, who’d have believed you’d come along?”

Services for Caroline Rosalie Walker will be held Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, at the Fowler-Sullivan funeral home.  Visitation will be from 10-11, with the funeral at 11.  Pastor Shawn Stricklin will officiate the services.  Burial will be at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ellsinore, Mo.
