Carolyn "Betty" Massey

Carolyn "Betty" Massey, 92, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Westwood Hills Healthcare. Mrs. Massey was born June 27, 1922 in Poplar Bluff to the late David M. Gullette and Leona (Perry) Gullette. She was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. A retired LPN she also was a foster grandmother at Oak Grove School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and camping. On December 24, 1939 she married Charles W. "Jim" Massey. He preceded her in death in 1972. Survivors include her children, David Massey, Lea Massey, Susan Rahm and Luke Massey and wife, Sharon; three grandchildren, Shannon Miller, Tim Westray, and Sandy Lewallen; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Caleb, Savanah, Kallon, Ayden and Alex. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Byron Beck will officiate.
