Carson Carl Pruitt

Carson Carl Pruitt 86, of Poplar Bluff passed away Nov. 8, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Feb. 16, 1934 in Stoddard County to the late Carl Alfred and Frona (Tolbert) Pruitt.  On June 22, 1957 he was married to Janice Wills; she preceded him in death Sept. 18, 1989.  March 28, 1992 he was united in marriage to Verla E. Hutchison.  She preceded him in death Dec. 18, 2009.

Carson was a member of the Cornerstone Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff.  He enjoyed landscaping, gardening and reading.

Surviving are his daughter, Tina Brungard and husband George, step daughter Christy Stahlman and husband Kelly,, step-son; Mickel Hutchison and wife Carol, two grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one sister; Vivian F. Moore.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dwain Pruitt.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 11 am at Cornerstone Tabernacle Church Hwy 67 North Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will begin at 12 pm in the church with Pastor Stephen Burns officiating.  Burial to follow in the city cemetery.
