Charles William "Bill" Spencer

Charles William "Bill" Spencer, 73 of Poplar Bluff , Mo., passed away May 23, 2012 at Westwood Hills Healthcare. A memorial visitation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the chapel, with Jack Armor officiating. Mr. Williams was born October 27, 1938, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a self employed carpenter and enjoyed fishing, wood working, and reading. He is survived by his children, Anna Vaughn and husband, William of Poplar Bluff, Charles A. Spencer and wife, Heather of Poplar Bluff, Peter Bennett of Dexter and Nicky Nesbitt and wife Donna, of Fisk; 3 sisters, Lucille Gamble of Poplar Bluff, Anna Dorris of Poplar Bluff and Cybil Nohr; a brother, Fred McMillin; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nellie (Kilgore) Spencer; a daughter, Angela Bennett Mills, and sister, Sandra Hodge.
