Charles Leroy Lane

Charles Leroy Lane, 70, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at his home. Mr. Lane was born August 18, 1945 in Poplar Bluff, to the late Charles Lane Sr. and Iva Lane (Simpson). He was a member of the Eagles on Ditch road. He enjoyed fishing and had been an auto body repairman. He is survived by a special friend, Irene Pfeiffer; his children, Lisa Pickard Ruble, Janice "Marie" Jones, Thomas "Roy" Lane, and six other children; a sister, Geneva Wagner, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Lane is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Loretta Jones and Virginia "Pat" Jones; and a brother, Leon Lane; as well as his first wife, and the mother of his first three children, Janice Kay Nesler. There will be a graveside funeral Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Sparkman Cemetery at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bill Orr officiating.
