Charles 'Chuck' Mccormick

Charles "Chuck" McCormick, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 in Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mr. McCormick was born Nov. 10, 1943 in Holland, Mo. to the late Howard McCormick and Annie Marie Rollins-McCormick. He attended the Palace of Praise Church in Poplar Bluff, where he enjoyed ushering and door greeting. He was retired from the Elgin street sweeper factory. He was a veteran of the US Army. In 2007 he married Mildred Pierce-McCormick in Springfield, Mo. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2009. Chuck is survived by his mother, Ann McCormick of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Jerry McCormick; a special cousin Barbara, a special dog Misty and other cousins and uncles. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by a p.m. graveside funeral at Bernie Cemetery, Bernie Mo. with Bishop Kent Miller officiating.
