Charles "Skip" Taylor

Charles Lindell "Skip" Taylor, age 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Taylor was born June 19, 1940, at Poplar Bluff, to the late Otis and Loretta (Roach) Taylor. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and Cuban Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raising animals, yard sales, and loved his family and being with people. He was a member of the Fellowship General Baptist Church, which he loved very much. On January 13, 1990, in Poplar Bluff, he married Zelma Taylor, who survives. Other survivors include his children, Darren C. Taylor of Elsberry, Mo., Michael D. Taylor and wife, Cindy, of Shawnee, Ks., James Vance Eason and wife, LaDona of Poplar Bluff, and Jeanne Stevenson and husband, Larry of Poplar Bluff; his grandchildren, Kyle and Jessica Taylor, Emily and Abby Taylor, Jonathan, Justin, and Jessica Stevenson, Jordan, Cody and Kaden Eason, and Ashley Duquette; brothers, Bob Carmack and wife, Delphine of Ozark, Mo., Jim Blanchard and wife, Barb of DeFord, Michigan, Robert Blanchard and wife, Ranee of Fenton, Michigan and Larry Blanchard and wife, Dee of Brighton, Michigan; as well as many friends . Visitation for Mr. Taylor will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial may be made to www.lung.org
