Charles B. Wright, age 83, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Wright was born June 13, 1933, in Butler County, to the late Robert and Mary (Duley) Wright. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Poplar Bluff and retired from Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He previously owned multiple businesses throughout the Poplar Bluff area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Charles was a friend to all.
Surviving are his children, Ronald Dean Wright and wife, Patty of Grandin and Charles Erick Wright of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Lisa Zoll and husband, Kenny, Beth Barton and husband, Kirk, Jami Parker and husband, David; seven great-grand children and three great-great grand children.
Proceeding in death are one daughter, Ruth Ann Wright; three sisters, Edna Mayes, Louise Wright, and Imogene Maddox; and three brothers, Ira Wright, Floyd Wright, and Richard Wright.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Friday May 12, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday May 13, 2017, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev Ralph Mayes officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hamtown Cemetery in Butler County.
