Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 and funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff. Services will be officiated by Minister Sharon Sadler. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Williamsville, Mo., with full millitary rites. Clarence "Bud" Gentry, 64, of Harviell, Mo, passed away Saturday, Dec 4, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Poplar Bluff to parents Charles and Hazel Fann Gentry. He was a lifetime Butler County resident. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War. An auto mechanic by trade, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family. He loved his grandchildren dearly. On June 9, 1972, he married Yvonne Ward in Jonesboro, Ark. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Melissa Richardson and husband, Kurt , of Poplar Bluff; a son, Christopher Gentry and Rachelle, of Ellsinore, Mo.; four sisters and their families, Verda Boruff of Watervlit, Michigan,. Katy Gordon of Dowagiac, Mich., Kathy Brannon of Springfield, Mo., and Glenda Sisk of Edwardsburg, Mich., a brother, Bill Gentry and family of Pollard, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Bradley Ketcherside, Tawyn Gentry, Amanda Wells, Cole Gentry, Kyle Richardson, Kody Richardson, Sierra Zeiler and Leau Zeiler; two special nephews, Bryon Ward and Gary Ward; and a host of other nephews, nieces and special friends. Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Fann Gentry; and three sisters, Lavenda Hopson, Vonda Barker and Charlene Taylor.
