Claude Kearbey

Claude Ernest Kearbey, 92, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at his residence. Claude was born May 23, 1922, in Fairdealing, Mo. He was a carpenter involved in home construction. He had been a life-long resident of Butler County and enjoyed fishing, woodwork, and deer hunting. Mr. Kearbey married Darlene Marie Jenkins, she preceded him in death in 1983. Other survivors include two sons, Bud and Joe Kearbey, both of Poplar Bluff; one stepson, Rick Holden of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Katrina Kearbey of Poplar Bluff; one brother Ray Powell of Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Memorial services are planned at a later date with Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
