Cloyce "Bud" Blaine Lawson

Cloyce Blaine Lawson, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on May 06, 2024, at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Bud was born on April 13, 1935, to Chester and Nola (Wigglesworth) Lawson in Senath, Missouri.  He married Phyllis New on June 24,1956, in Clarkton, MO. Bud was an active long-time member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff where he served as Deacon.  He was also a proud member of the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief Program.  Bud also started a sign language/deaf ministry in the area, many years ago. Bud is survived by spouse, Phyllis Lawson, sons, David Lawson (Angie), son, Mark Lawson (Susan), granddaughter, Kristi Lawson, grandson, Steven Lawson (Savannah), granddaughter, Stephanie Lambert, Great grandchildren, Michelle, Dillan, Isabell, Lucy and Lucas. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Charles and Larry Lawson and twin sister; Joyce Sandefer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 14,2024, from 11am-12pm at Temple Baptist Church 1813 Barron Rd. Poplar Bluff, Mo Funeral services will begin at 12pm at the church, with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
