Colin David "Mick" Emmons, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Emmons was born July 29, 1944, in Benton, Mo., to the late Eugene and Mildred (Angle) Emmons. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was an electrician and worked at Proctor and Gambill. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking and was a member of the Southside Assembly of God. In 1989 he married Mary Geneva Rogers, She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters and four brothers. He is survived by two sons, Ronald Cochran of Poplar Bluff, and Kayden of the home; one daughter, Yevett Madden of Cape Girardeau; one brother Donald Emmons also of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jerry Lemons officiting. Burial in Brown Chapel Cemetery, Brosley, Mo., with military honors.
