Curtis Dean Whitlock Sr., 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Whitlock was born September 8, 1940 in Arbyrd, Mo., to the late G.T. Whitlock and Betty (Shidaker) Whitlock.
He served in the United States Navy. He was a retired cook and commercial artist and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Christa Whitlock, Merdith Whitlock and Teresa Wyeth; two sisters, Ila Taylor and Madona Metcalf; 7 grandchildren, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Connie Joplin.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Curtis C. Whitlock and Kenneth D. Whitlock; 2 sisters, Angela and Ruthie Whitlock and 2 brothers, Dennis and Tommy Whitlock.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church on Victor Street in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. Shelvie Shephens officiating.
Interment will take place in Mo. State Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, Mo.
