Cynthia "Cindy" Chestnut

Cynthia "Cindy" Pearl Chestnut, 65, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away on Feb. 13, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Chestnut was born on Feb. 18, 1951 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She worked as a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Cynthia enjoyed fishing, flowers and being with her grandchildren. On Sept. 18, 1971, she married Gene Chestnut in Poplar Bluff. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Scott Chestnut of Sapulpa, OK., Dusti Drew and husband Chad, of Kirksville, Mo., James Chestnut and wife Alicia of Poplar Bluff; 1 sister, Glenda Lynn Delahunt of GA.; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Roberta Scott; and 3 brothers, Richard, Roy and Timothy Scott. Visitation will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 from 10:30 - 12:30 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 12:30 in the Chapel with Carl Jeffries officiating. Burial will take place at Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
