Cynthia "Cindy" (Thornton) Baker

Cynthia Lynette Baker, 66 of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Friday, February 21,2025, at home surrounded by her family. Cindy was born April 19, 1958, to Herschel Leon Thornton and Mary Catherine Thornton (Robertson) in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  She married the love of her life Terry Wayne Baker on July 31, 1976.

Cindy's biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren.  First born was Jake Landon Pirtle, thought to be the only grandchild?  She was later blessed when Shannon brought in a sonogram with two dots.  Later to add twin granddaughters; Hayden Lynn Pirtle and Addison Lyne Pirtle.  Making spending time with her grandchildren an even better time of her life.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; Herschel and Mary Thornton.

Surviving are her husband; Terry Wayne Baker of Poplar Bluff, children; Shawn (Lori) Baker of Poplar Bluff, Shannon (Shane) Pirtle of Desloge, Mo, siblings; Tim Thornton (Bob) of St. Louis, Vicki (Gerard) Thornton of High Ridge, Mo. and numerous cousins.
