Daniel O'Connor

Daniel O'Connor died in Poplar Bluff on August 29,2026. He was born in Poplar Bluff in 1949, the third of seven children of Victor and Margaret O'Connor. Three of his siblings remain. Roger O'Connor of Springfield, MO., James O'Connor of Poplar Bluff and Mary Dorris of Poplar Bluff.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Victoria Sisk, Karen Sheeks and Kevin O'Connor.

Danny was a 1969 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and a 1971 graduate of United Electronics Institute of Louisville, KY. He spent most of his adult life in Palo Alto and Santa Monica, CA. Danny had previously been employed in the defense industry, working for Lockheed Martin and later Hughs Aircraft Company.

Danny had returned to the Poplar Bluff area approximately two years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished amateur photographer. He enjoyed camping in and photographing the various natural areas in Southeast Missouri.
