Daniel Earl Wertenberger, 79 of Naylor, Missouri., passed away Thursday November 3, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 25, 1932 at Torch, Missouri to the late Daniel Eli Wertenberger and Birdie Lee Hall Wertenberger.
On September 21, 1951 at Pocahontas, Arkansas He was married to Marie Hicks. She survives. Also surviving are four sons, Gary Wertenberger of Doniphan, Mo., Terry Wertenberger and wife Norma of Naylor, Mo., Larry Wertenberger and wife Ruth of Naylor, Mo. and Jerry Wertenberger of Naylor, Mo. He is also survived by eight grand-children, Daniel, Ben, Brian, Tamara, A.J., Bill Jacob and Kara, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Two Sisters also survive, Shirley Turner and Shelba Turner both of Neelyville, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, William and Frank Wertenberger.
He was a mechanic and the owner of Wertenberger and Sons Garage of Naylor, had driven a bus for Naylor School and had worked for Harris Gas comp. He had also raised cattle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dogs.
Visitation for Earl will be Sunday night November 6, 2011 starting at 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be Monday November 7, 2011 starting at 11:00 am at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Gum Cemetery with Pastor Richard Triplett officiating.
