Darren Lavar Williams

Darren Lavar Williams, 36 of Poplar Bluff departed this life Wednesday June, 17, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.  He was born September 29, 1983 in Poplar Bluff to Ellen "Dollie" Williams and Kevin "Donnie" Grant.

Darren graduated from Poplar Bluff Senior High School.  He accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a member of New Life Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, barbecuing, and listening to music.  He will be most remembered for his sweet spirit.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories,  parents Ellen "Dollie" Williams and Kevin "Donnie" Grant both of Poplar Bluff, two sisters; La Toya Williams of Poplar Bluff, Breonna Paige Grant of Nashville, TN, one brother; Carlos Dewayne Williams of Poplar Bluff, grandparents; Rosie Lee Williams, Shirley Ann Grant both of Poplar Bluff, Eugene Grant of Chicago, IL, uncles; Isaiah Grant (Deborah Hunt) of Las Vegas, NV, Randy W. Williams of California, Jake Williams (Toni) of Poplar Bluff, Leevon Williams, of Tacoma, WA, Wallace Williams of West Memphis, AR, Ronnie Grant of Poplar Bluff, Melvin Grant (Stephanie) of Oklahoma City, OK, aunts; Peralene Williams, Sherra Grant (Eddy) of Poplar Bluff, Geri Grant, Tonya Grant, Cherry Grant, Barbara Grant all of Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Darren was preceded in death by his grandpa Eugene Cummings, Aunt Georgia Kirby, and Uncle Robert Williams.

Visitation will be 12 pm Friday, June 26, 2020 at Fowler-Sullivan in Poplar Bluff.   The home-going celebration will begin in the funeral home chapel at 1 pm.
