David Brent Colter

David Brent Colter, 52, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Colter was born October 12, 1961, in Poplar Bluff ,to the late Leonard and Lorraine Colter. He worked as a boat mechanic and could do most anything. He enjoyed building and racing boats and loved being a Dad. He is survived by his children, Shelby Colter and William Colter; his sisters, Kathy Gibbs (Terry), Carol Keeney, Linda Faust (Ed), Elaine Lannom (Lanny), Karen Rodery, JoAnn Pierce (Dennis); his brothers, Alan Colter, Gary Colter (Debbie); one sister-in-law, Gail Colter and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Imogene Clark and brother, James Dale Colter and three nephews. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m, with Rev. Ralph Mayes and Shane Mallard officiating. Burial in the the Duley Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
