David Rush Jr

David Hilton Rush Jr., of Poplar Bluff, MO departed this life August 23, 2017 at the age of 77, at his home surrounded by family. David was born to the late David and Dorothy Rush, in Butler County, Missouri. David enjoyed having family close, gardening, and vacationing in Florida. David was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First United Pentecostal Church of Wappapello. David was blessed with three sons and one daughter, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He married his best friend and companion, Patricia Counts February 7th, 1958 in Palatka, AR. They were married 59 years. David helped raise his four children with fatherly love. He loved being with family, playing pool with his family and loved any moment that everyone could be together. David was always available to family and friends. He was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how big or small. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with the Lord Jesus Christ. David is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children David H. Rush III, his wife, Darla of Poplar Bluff; Pamela Lewellen, of Haines City, FL; John L. Rush and his wife, Becky, of Poplar Bluff; and Paul A. Rush and his wife, Rebecca Rush, of Poplar Bluff, MO; his brother, Ronald Rush; fifteen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalie Finazzo; his parents, David H. Rush Sr. and Dorothy Rush. A visitation will take place on August 25th at 6:00 P. M. and funeral service on August 26th at 1:00 PM funeral services will be at the Fowler Sullivan Funeral, located at Ninth and Cedar streets in Poplar Bluff, MO. David will be buried at the Kinsey Cemetery in Harviell, MO. Rev. Michael Lowen of the First United Pentecostal church will be officiating the services.
