Deloras A. Payne of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Payne was a former resident of St. Louis, Mo. and retired from the U.S. Federal Government Dept. of Justice. She enjoyed her family, southern gospel music, reading, decorating, flowers, figure skating, travel, piano, and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. She presently attended Westside Church of God, but was a member of her home church, First Church of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Dawn Ethridge; two brothers, Larry Dare and wife, Judy and Terry Dare and wife, Jackie; her grandchildren, Scotty Engle II and Regina Ethridge; great-grandchildren, Ariana Engle and Kaylee Ethridge as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Eugene and Opal Belle (Hendrix) Dare.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Pastor Bill Wiles officiating. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, of Poplar Bluff, in charge of arrangements.
